The HVIG trusted servants are currently being voted in at the September 9th HVIG meeting. The service positions are from October through September the following year. The HVIG Chair is responsible for leading the monthly HVIG meetings (currently held on the second Sunday of the month at 1:00 pm EST. The chair also provides leadership and vision for the HVIG fellowship and supports Unity as a service board and fellowship.
The vice-chair is the main support for the chair and can chair the monthly meetings if the chair is unable to make the monthly HVIG meeting. Additional functions are currently going through group conscience to discuss events planning and other focus.
The Communications chair oversees the various monthly tasks and volunteers. Projects include updating the website, organizing the We Care List and publishing the new list monthly, Meeting Rep Coordinator efforts and other committees. Works collaboratively with other trusted servants to manage documents, folders, contact lists, emails, and other special projects.
Manages the HVIG Treasury; submits written report every month; attends monthly HVIG meeging. The Treasurer's term is a two year position.
Helps to prepare the monthly HVIG agenda for the website; supports the chair and other leadership positions with documents help; takes minutes of the monthly HVIG meetings.
The World Service Business Conference (WSBC) delegate is the liaison between WSBC and the HVIG.
Represents the HVIG at the Virtual Region of Overeaters Anonymous at VR monthly business sessions.
Welcomes and encourages newcomers to the HVIG by contacting them, taking them through the website and sharing their experience, strength and hope.
This website is supported by your generous donations and dedicated volunteers from within our fellowship. The communications committee is looking for volunteers to help with the website updates, the We Care List, Documents and Folders, the Newsletter and more. It takes over 30 volunteers monthly to serve on the HVIG to make it work. We need help, so please consider volunteering to do service and come join the fun and fellowship.
