OA HOW 2-Hour Meetings

Meetings listed in herein 

• Endorse, utilize and follow the Sponsee guidelines 
• Are two hours long
• Focus on reading and pitching on the OA tools as used by 2 Hour OA HOW members
• Include most or all of the readings and components of traditional 2 Hour OA How meetings such as: the Preamble to OA, What is HOW, the Only Requirement, The HOW Concept, Reflections for the Newcomer, either the AA Big Book reading from More About Alcoholism or the OA Step 2 excerpt on insanity, the excerpt from How It Works from the Big Book, the OA 12 steps and OA 12 traditions, Clay Feet, the Promises or Bad News
• Welcome newcomers and invite them to introduce themselves
• Have a newcomer greeter
• Celebrate periods of abstinence
• Celebrate Step ups and Anniversaries using the 2 Hour format readings
• Have speaker and/or leader share
• Have an opportunity for pitches at the end open to all participants
• Meetings listed on the website need to also make a good faith effort to send a group rep or two to monthly HVIG meetings.
